Dr. Claire Maederer
Claire grew up in Eugene, Oregon, and earned her degree in Exercise and Sport Science from Oregon State University. Before physical therapy, she ran a dance studio for five years and taught a dance class for people with Parkinson's disease, an experience that inspired her to pursue her Doctor of Physical Therapy from Boston University, which she completed in 2023. Her work is built on communication, inclusion, and dependability, values she carries into every patient relationship.
Moderation in everything!
What guides the work.
Communication, inclusion, and dependability are the three things Claire builds every patient relationship on. It is a mindset that shows up in how she paces recovery, honest about what is realistic and steady about getting there.
Off the clock.
Life beyond the treatment table.
Outside the clinic, Claire spends her time with her husband Tyler, chasing down food trucks and exploring new Portland neighborhoods. She and Tyler have two cats at home, and Claire's idea of a good day off includes zip-lining or a trip to the zoo. She is also a self-described Broadway superfan, with a "Broadway Wall" of show posters to prove it.
